01Getting started

How do I sign in? With your phone number and an SMS code, or with Apple or Google sign-in. If a code does not arrive, wait a minute, check your signal, and try once more.

What does setup involve? Profile basics, photos, your values and interests, and a short personality chat. Discover opens the same day. There is no waitlist.

Where is my personality portrait? On your own profile in the Me tab, after you finish the personality chat.

02Discover and matches

How does matching work? Each day you get a short set of people to consider. Paid plans show more each day, and the current numbers are on the plan card in the app (Me, Settings, Choose Your Plan). The set resets daily around midnight Singapore time. Tap "I'm curious" or "Not for me". A connection happens only when both people are curious about each other, and chat opens then.

Why am I not getting matches? A connection needs both people to be curious, so the biggest levers are a complete, specific profile and clear recent photos. Staying a little open on age also helps early on.

Can I set an age range or filter by background? A precise age range is on the way. Today the only age control is the Age flexibility toggle under Me, Discovery preferences. There is no filter by race or background; put what matters to you in your bio, and you always choose who to connect with.

Who is curious about me? In the Connect tab, "They're curious" shows the people who are curious about you. Seeing who they are is part of the paid plans. "You're curious" shows the people you chose.

03Introductions

What is an introduction? You can ask your Companion to introduce you to someone. Open the Companion tab and choose "Ask for an introduction", or simply ask in a Companion chat. Say who you are hoping to meet; it may ask a question or two.

What happens after I ask? When your Companion finds someone, it shows you first: a photo, their first name and age, a few lines they wrote, and why it thought of the two of you. Nobody is contacted until you tap "Introduce us". If you do, they are asked, and they decide too. If they say yes, you are connected and can chat. Your Companion tells you either way.

Is it one person at a time? Yes. You are shown one person at a time, and once you have asked to be introduced, your Companion holds off on anyone else until that person answers, or for up to three days.

How long does it take? It depends on who is on Spring right now. Your Companion cannot promise there is always someone, or how soon. It is an AI, not a human matchmaker, and it gets things wrong sometimes. If it does, tell it what it missed.

What does it cost? Your first introduction is free. More introductions come with a paid plan.

Someone asked to be introduced to me. You will see "Meet" and their name in your Companion tab, with why your Companion thought of you two. Say yes or "Not this time". Before you were asked, they were shown your profile, the same one other members see in Discover. If you say "Not this time", your Companion will not bring them up again.

04Photos and verification

Why was my photo rejected? The usual reasons are no clearly visible face (group shots, scenery, pets, memes), poor lighting, or content that cannot be shown. Swimwear and ordinary photos are fine. Add one clear, well-lit solo photo and it usually approves quickly.

How long does a photo take to check? Automatic checks take a minute or two. Some photos go to a manual review, which can take longer.

How long does verification take? Verification is optional and only adds a badge. Some pass instantly, and many go to a manual check that can take a few days. It is never required to match or browse.

05Plans and billing

How much is Premium? Prices are shown in the app at Me, Settings, the plan card (Choose Your Plan), where the store displays the current price in your currency.

How do I cancel? Subscriptions are managed by the store, not inside Spring. On iPhone: Settings, your Apple ID, Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, Payments and subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription, and access runs to the end of the paid period.

I paid but I am still on Free. Open Me, Settings, Choose Your Plan and tap Restore Purchases. If that does not work, email us with your receipt.

I was charged and did not mean to subscribe. Refunds for purchases made through Apple or Google are handled by them under their rules (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com; Google: your Play order history). Email us and we will help where we can.

Where is my referral reward? The free week starts once your invited friend finishes setting up their profile. It then applies automatically.

I joined before 10 September 2026. You may have three months of complimentary Standard that ends by itself around 9 December 2026, after which the account returns to Free with no automatic charge.

06Notifications

Two things both need to be on. In the app: Me, Settings, Notifications. And your phone's own notification permission for Spring. On Android, update to the latest version from Google Play first. On iPhone, if you declined the permission, re-enable it in iPhone Settings, Notifications, Spring.

07Chat, blocking and reporting

How do I report or block someone? In a chat, open the header menu for Unmatch, Report User and Block User. Report is also available on a Discover card and on a connection's profile. Reports are confidential and the other person is not told who reported them.

Someone is not replying. That is not a bug. People reply in their own time.

I think someone is a scammer. Report them from the chat or their profile. If anyone is in danger right now, call 999.

08Privacy and your data

Download my data. Me, Privacy, Download my data emails you a copy within about ten minutes, once a week.

Hide my profile. Settings, Privacy and Safety, Hide profile removes you from Discover while your chats continue. Switch it off any time.

Pause my account. Settings, Account and security, Pause my account signs you out. Signing back in reactivates it.

Delete my account. Settings, Privacy and Safety, Delete my account. Type DELETE to confirm. Your profile hides at once and there is a 30 day cooling-off period; sign back in within 30 days to cancel. Deleting the account does not cancel a store subscription.

Spring is for people 18 and over, and data is hosted in Singapore under the PDPA.

09The AI Companion

Your Companion is Spring's AI matchmaker, not a person. It gets to know you so Spring can suggest genuinely compatible people. Your conversation is private between you and the Companion, only your matching benefits from it, and Spring does not use your conversations or profile to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent. To manage it, see Settings, AI Companion, where you can adjust nudges and coaching, or export or delete your Companion history.
